He stole the victim's cell phone at the scene of a fatal accident.

The jackal was found and reported for theft. The events took place two days ago: Carmela Di Pumpo, 25, died in a road accident in Foggia.

The man, a 55-year-old with a criminal record, took advantage of the situation immediately after the accident by stealing the girl's smartphone.

But he was framed by a video shot by a resident who filmed him. In addition to the 55-year-old reported for aiding and abetting, a 46-year-old believed to be his accomplice: the man contacted the Police Headquarters claiming to have found a telephone in a garden in Piazza Nuova, an area not far from the scene of the accident.

But when the cops arrived, they realized that his side of the story did not add up. So, cornered, the 46-year-old confessed that an acquaintance of his had asked him to pretend his cell phone was found.

At that point the agents, thanks also to the video, managed to trace the 55-year-old who had stolen the phone from the young victim. The man admitted his responsibilities and the cell phone was recognized by the victim's partner, at the moment it was seized.
