The president of Liguria Giovanni Toti is also under investigation for forgery . The accusation emerges from the investigation papers that shook the Liguria region, bringing the governor under house arrest.

The alleged crime is linked to the management of landfills in the province of Savona . Pietro Colucci, a Campania entrepreneur who manages a galaxy of companies dealing with waste, is being investigated for corruption in that case.

ruption.

According to investigators, between 2016 and 2020 Colucci, through his companies, had financed Toti with 195 thousand euros. In that same period «the companies attributable to the Colucci group - we read in the documents - had as their institutional interlocutor the Liguria Region, responsible for issuing authorizations for the management of landfills. All the financing coming from the companies of the group attributable to Colucci and directed to the Change Committee and the Giovanni Toti Liguria Committee had not been approved by the respective corporate bodies and, in some cases, had not even been included in the balance sheet".

In the meantime , the third day of warrant interrogations begins today in front of investigating judge Paola Faggioni. In court Matteo Cozzani , chief of staff of the President of the Region, and then the entrepreneur Aldo Spinelli .

According to the accusations, Spinelli would have bribed Toti and the former president of the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority Paolo Emilio Signorini to obtain favors in his business activities, while Cozzani must answer for aggravated electoral corruption, which would have been committed in order to facilitate Cosa Ours , in particular the Cammarata clan of the Riesi district, and of disturbance of auctions by the prosecutor's office of La Spezia.

It is very likely that both suspects will adopt the same strategy as Toti and Signorini, i.e. they will make use of the right not to respond to the investigating judge .
