«Beautiful soul, from up there shine as much as you can. A kiss in the wind, beautiful darling." These are the words of the Orune councilor Giuliana Pittalis as she bid farewell to Giovanni Maria Pira, a child who died at just six months old at the Bambin Gesù in Rome.
According to what we learn, what took him away was an illness that emerged a month ago: his condition worsened and hospitalization in the capital's hospital unfortunately proved useless.
The little boy was the son of Sardinian emigrants living in Tuscany: Pietro Pira, from Orune, and Giovanna Argiolas, from Laconi.
And it is from the parish in the center of Sarcidano, dedicated to Sant'Ambrogio and Sant'Ignazio, that another message arrives for the little one: «Heaven is celebrating because a new angel has arrived at the Father's house. Little Giovanni Maria has flown to heaven", is the funeral announcement but full of hope.
