Ferry runs aground at Gorgona Island, passengers unharmed

Moments of fear yesterday afternoon in the waters of the island of Gorgona (Livorno). A ferry, perhaps due to an engine failure, ran aground on the shallow water of the beach. On board about twenty passengers, all unharmed.

The firefighters with nautical specialists and three divers intervened on the spot, in addition to the boats of the Port Authority.

The vessel "La Superba" was finally escorted to the port of Livorno. The hull sustained no damage.
