For this reason, an 18-year-old from Ferrara was arrested by the Carabinieri on charges of ill-treatment, extortion and personal injury. The investigations revealed that the young man, as early as 2020, would have forced his family members to suffer continuous wrongs . The humiliations went as far as assaulting the father with a shovel, "guilty" of not complying with yet another request for money.

For years, the boy's parents had been forced to live in a constant state of anxiety and fear for their own safety. The son, who had an aggressive attitude at home, often let off steam by damaging furniture or hitting the two spouses. The judge then issued a custodial order . The 18-year-old is now in prison , in Ferrara, awaiting the guarantee interrogation before the investigating magistrate.
