First the Holy Mass celebrated together and then a personal meeting with the Holy Father Pope Francis in Santa Marta . For the parish priest of the Christian community of Abbasanta, Ghilarza and Norbello, Father Paolo Contini, the emotions experienced in Rome were strong . Moments that he wanted to share with his parishioners in the usual weekly bulletin sent to families.

"After my denunciation for the abuses suffered during the years of the minor seminary in the college of San Francesco in Oristano - writes the religious - I had to fight to bring out a truth that many wanted to ignore or hide. In this journey I am not alone and among the supporters of my important battle I have had at my side since the beginning Pope Francis , who last year wrote me a beautiful letter inviting me to "make noise" to break the wall of silence and omertà".

"In these days - continues Father Contini - I have also had the grace of personally meeting our Holy Father who welcomed me with an embrace and listened with pain to the events of my complaint . In his eyes, however, I also found the strength and determination of someone who continues to invite me to proceed and to challenge all those who still fear the truth. I have delivered important documents to the Pontiff that can no longer be ignored by anyone and I resume my fight with the awareness of having at my side a Father who teaches us every day not to fear the truth".

On the procedural front, meanwhile, the hearings continue and Father Paolo himself hopes that the final word on this affair can be put to rest as early as the end of March with the sentence.
