A 10-year-old boy was killed with a stab in the throat in a house in Vetralla, near Viterbo. When the carabinieri arrived in the house there was also the father, unconscious in another room.

According to what is learned, the person responsible would be the father: the man, Mirko Tonkov, a 44-year-old of Polish origin, had a ban on approaching the family home, but allegedly violated it to commit the crime.

Also based on the first rumors, the man would have moved away from a hospital in Rome where he was hospitalized for Covid, heading to the Municipality of Viterbo to carry out the murder.

Rescuers arrived on site after a gas leak was reported. But the scenario, unfortunately, was much, much more tragic.

The baby's mother would sound the alarm, returning home, where she had left her son alone.

Once on the spot, the military and 118 personnel found that unfortunately there was nothing more to be done for the little one.

The carabinieri are now working to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the incident, while the man was taken back to hospital and then placed in custody.
