He discovers his grandson who is stealing his pension, stabbed to death

An 84-year-old man, Angelo Taurino, was stabbed to death last night in his home in Maruggio, in the province of Taranto.

A 38-year-old man's great-grandson was arrested for the murder. The man, drug addict, broke into his uncle's house to steal his pension but once he found out the situation deteriorated.

The carabinieri of the Manduria company and the provincial command of Taranto intervened on the spot, together with the deputy prosecutor Maurizio Carbone and the public prosecutor on duty Rosalba Lopalco.

The corpse lay on the bed in a pool of blood. The man had a stab wound in the carotid artery and others in the chest.
