Drunk ex boxer beating his partner: arrested
The man out of jealousy broke two of her ribs. Then the arrival of the carabinieri who avoided a much more tragic epilogue
Drunk, he beat up his partner, 57, fracturing her two ribs. All for a quarrel triggered by jealousy.
This is why a 56-year-old man, a former boxer and already known to the police, was arrested by the carabinieri.
It happened in Besana Brianza, in the province of Monza. According to an initial reconstruction of the facts, the woman had asked a friend to help her recover her partner, who was wandering on the street in the throes of alcohol.
Once back in the house, however, the man went on a rampage: he would have insulted her, hit her with various objects - including an amphora, an ashtray and other knick-knacks - and then went on to punch her.
At that point the neighbors, hearing the desperate screams of the woman, called the carabinieri, who promptly intervened in the house blocking the man and probably avoiding an even more dramatic epilogue.
The 57-year-old was then transported to the hospital by an ambulance, where doctors gave her nearly a month's prognosis. The woman then told the military that it was not the first time she was mistreated and harassed by the man.
The latter is now accused of serious injuries. For him the doors of the prison have opened, where he remains at the disposal of the judicial authority.
