Attempted murder. This is the charge for which four people arrested by the Genoa State Police will have to answer at the conclusion of the investigations begun after a violent assault that took place in recent months along the A10 motorway.

According to what was reconstructed by the investigators, the four, in a car, forced the driver of a van, a man of Moroccan origin, to pull over in the emergency lane, after throwing some objects at the vehicle he was driving.

After forcing him to stop, they got out of the car, reached the van and started beating him with kicks, slaps and punches, insulting and threatening him.

At the scene, recalled by what was happening, some witnesses also stopped, at the sight of which the attackers got back into the car and set off again, running over the unfortunate driver and leaving him injured on the asphalt. Then they took off at full speed.

After the alarm, the car with the four on board was intercepted near the Piani D'Invrea Nord service area by a patrol of the Genoa Sampierdarena Traffic Police.

Two people had been arrested immediately, now the investigation has closed and their accomplices have also been affected by the measure decided by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Ligurian capital.

The aggravating factor of ethnic hatred is also contested for all.
