Bad weather, car with father and son swallowed by a sinkhole: both dead

The bodies of two missing men, father and son, have been found. They fell with their car into a sinkhole that formed late Thursday evening due to bad weather on the bridge in Valdagno (Vicenza).
The victims are Leone Francesco Nardon, 65 years old, and his son Francesco, 34 years old . The car, a Fiat Ulisse, was also found.
According to reconstructions, the car was swallowed up in the hole and ended up in the Agno torrent. The Vicenza firefighters had been busy searching since last night.
According to the reconstruction, father and son arrived on site to join the Civil Protection team , to offer their help as volunteers to the rescue after having received news of the many floods in cellars and lower floors recorded during the night.
There were no direct witnesses to the tragedy but the Carabinieri, through video surveillance cameras, saw the car being swallowed up by the sinkhole .
