Crushed between the truck and the unloading point, a worker dies at 22
It happened in an SDA warehouse at the Bentivoglio Interport, investigations underway
New tragedy at work, this time at the Bologna Freight Village, the logistics hub based in Santa Maria in Duno di Bentivoglio.
A 22-year-old worker, originally from Guinea Bissau, was working in a warehouse of the Sda Express Courier in block 13.4 when, for reasons under investigation, he got stuck between a warehouse flap - the goods loading / unloading point - and the heavy vehicle parked close to the goods loading. The boy, squeezed between the truck and the bulkhead, reported the breach of the chest and died instantly.
According to what we learn, the young man was in charge of the internal handling of goods and an employee of the transport cooperative Metra.
On the spot, in addition to 118, the carabinieri of the Molinella company and the personnel of the occupational medicine intervened.
“I am saddened and saddened, we need to understand how it happened”, commented Sergio Crespi, general manager of the Bologna Interport.
