Silvio Berlusconi "bought for me in 2008 an apartment of the '700 in Piazza Campo de' Fiori in Rome", a house "of 170 square meters worth 1.7 million euros".
Sassarese singer Cristina Ravot, born in 1975, who performed in some evenings at Villa Certosa with Mariano Apicella, told this, summoned as witnesses in the Ruby ter trial.
"He did it because he always helped those around him to buy a house, because according to him the house is fundamental, he told us, since when he was little he had suffered precisely from problems with the house and therefore he wanted to see quiet people" Ravot told the judges, defining the evenings at Villa Certosa as "very elegant dinners".
The musician was also moved during the deposition, recalling her photo that went in the newspapers "as Berlusconi's new girlfriend". "My name - he added - was improperly compared to the Ruby scandal and for this reason I have not had the renewal of a contract on TV".
The building needed to be maintained and "had significant expenses," added Ravot. So "when I told him that I had to sell it because I couldn't keep it, he started sending me a monthly bank transfer of 2,500 euros in 2011 with which I paid the installments of the Revenue Agency for an assessment that I had had".
In recent years, Berlusconi "paid for me money which then went to the Revenue Agency, to remove the mortgage from the house and for 10 years he supported the legal costs, paid 20 thousand euros a month".
The musician specified that she was not involved in the Ruby trial and clarified her relationship with Berlusconi: “He liked me as a beautiful woman, there may have been an approach because he likes to woo everyone, women and men. I loved him very much ".
“Even before 2008 he made me two transfers of 50 thousand euros as reimbursement for expenses for the evening, he always called me because he liked to see a beautiful girl singing, but then he worried constantly and told me that he wanted to do something for me. I told him no, then I convinced myself to have the house given to me ".
Also answering the questions of the prosecutor Luca Gaglio, she said she was also present at a dinner in Arcore which was attended by about twenty girls: "They danced and I didn't sing, but I didn't like those evenings, because the girls were envious among them, they wanted to be seen, to dance and to excel ".
He said he also met Gianpaolo Tarantini, “I didn't like him at all, he was a shady individual”.
