The group, as reported by witnesses, arrived at the front door of the house where the 39-year-old is serving under house arrest.

" Come out, we'll kill you ," they shouted. "After Chris's death, we have nothing left to lose."

Then the throwing of stones, punches and beatings against the door . A scene that also sowed terror in the neighborhood.

For the man's lawyer, these are the consequences of the "media pillory " to which Begalli was subjected. And he asks for more protection : yesterday the minor son of Begalli's partner, who lives with them, also witnessed the scene.

The men walking away "promised that they would come back soon to pick him up - added the lawyer - and that it didn't end there, now both my client and the minor who went through the terrible experience with him are scared and terrified, they don't know how protect themselves and fear that those people will return soon, perhaps at night».

The 39-year-old, building craftsman in the municipality of Negrar in Valpolicella, has always specified in his stories that he did not realize what happened.

"I didn't see it, I don't know how it could have happened, I got out of the car immediately after the impact but I swear I didn't see that kid," he specified in the interrogations he was subjected to.
