The maxi search carried out yesterday in Florence, in the condominium bordering the former Astor hotel in via Boccherini, the one where traces of little Kata, the 5-year-old girl who vanished into thin air last Saturday, were lost.

Over 30 carabinieri engaged in activities on the orders of the magistrates who listened to the little girl's 8-year-old brother together with her maternal uncle. Also felt all the squatters.

Magistrates Christine von Borries and Giuseppe Ledda had been in the former hotel for an hour and a half inspection and then had returned to the prosecutor's office for the protected interrogation of their little brother with whom the activities, games and habits of the many children inside the Astor.

One of these is the "secret passage" between the former hotel and the courtyard of the neighboring condominium, a game across the boundary of the two properties, through a green gate. According to the parents, the children did not go there, also due to the presence - they are the stories - of an occupant of which the children are afraid. But Kata has been missing for days now and nothing is left to chance: the carabinieri scour apartments, garages, basements. The firefighters break down a door, open and search the cesspools, raise the shutters of the pits and check every corner. The roof is also inspected.

The Dda investigates for kidnapping for the purpose of extortion, a sort of kidnapping to take revenge and get something.

In the last few hours, news has emerged of a possible key witness who allegedly saw Kata crying as she was being dragged away by a man.
