An autopsy has been ordered on the body of Alessandro Pisano, the 55-year-old Sardinian who died on Wednesday evening in the Bormida valley following an accident which occurred on provincial road 25. The man, originally from Cagliari, was driving a bus which left from Acqui Terme to Cortemilia: at a bend in Cessole (Asti), the vehicle was hit by a pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction. Pisano lost control of the bus, ending up in a ravine and hitting a plant: he died instantly. Two passengers were injured.

Now further investigations on the body may help shed light on the dynamics of the tragedy. The Alessandria Prosecutor's Office, which ordered the autopsy, opened a case for road homicide and the investigations were entrusted to the Carabinieri of Canelli.

Pisano had recently moved to Cortemilia for work reasons.
