The driver who was driving the bus that crashed from the Mestre overpass , just outside Venice, on 3 October (21 victims of the accident) did not feel ill.

It was the expert opinion ordered by the Prosecutor's Office that excluded him. Post-mortem examinations confirmed that Alberto Rizzotto - this is the name of the driver - did not have heart problems.

Again from what was ascertained by the medical examiners, the man died due to his skull being crushed after the bus fell off the overpass from a height of over 10 metres.

The investigations to shed full light on the tragedy continue: the formal filing of the autopsy results and the technical results on the bus and the viaduct are still awaited.
