With a decree from the Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti , the assets in Italy of Artem Uss, the entrepreneur son of an oligarch very close to Putin who escaped from the house arrest he was serving in the Milan area, were frozen.

Following investigations conducted by the Special Currency Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza and on the proposal of the Financial Security Committee, Giorgetti signed the decree freezing the entrepreneur's assets and funds in Italy.

Among the frozen assets , 40.11% of Luxury Sardinia srl , a company that owns the capital of Hotel San Diego srl, owner of a hotel on the east coast of Sardinia, of which Uss is a shareholder (through the Cypriot Dunegenes Trading Limited). But that's not all, also a villa in the municipality of Basiglio, in the Milan area, a garage in the same building and 160,648.54 euros of funds held at the Banco di Sardegna .

The provision establishes that "the tasks relating to the notification of the decree as well as the tasks relating to its execution" are delegated to the Guardia di Finanza, while the Agenzia del Demanio is delegated to "assume the management of economic resources". The decree, it is explained, "takes effect from the date of its adoption and is published on the website of the ministry and the sector supervisory authorities".
