Three young Sardinian footballers , originally from the Oristano area, are accused of gang rape against a multi-medal blue Olympian and risk ending up on trial.

The events would have happened on 6 February in a restaurant in Trastevere , in Rome, according to what Il Messaggero reports today.

As reconstructed by the Roman newspaper and relaunched by press agencies, Erminio Coni and Andrea Finotto aged 38 and Alessio Costella aged 36, footballers who play or have played in Sardinian football teams of the Promotion or second category, recognized the champion in the club and they approached her asking to take a selfie together . At that point the abuse would have started: with a sudden gesture, they put their hands in her pants and began to grope her private parts .

The carabinieri then intervened in the club following a heated discussion between the three and the girl's friends, to whom the athlete told what happened. Still confused and shocked, the victim did not immediately report the facts. On 21 February, however, he found the courage to file a complaint , which was then followed by an investigation.

For Coni, Finotto and Costella, the Capitoline prosecutor has asked for indictment, the investigating judge will now decide whether to send them to trial .
