A 25-year-old man dies after being hit while helping a motorist.
It is not clear whether the driver of the car that hit the victim stopped to provide assistance, there is also an injured person

One person died and one was injured in an accident that occurred around 6:00 a.m. this morning on State Road 16 near Bari.
The victim is a 25-year-old who, according to reports, was struck and killed by a car while he was trying to help a motorist in distress. The injured person is a friend of the victim, whom 118 personnel transported to San Paolo Hospital in Bari.
It is unclear whether the driver of the car that hit the victim stopped to provide assistance.
Investigations into the incident are underway.
