The meetings with the trade associations promoted by the Special Commission for the recognition of the principle of insularity chaired by Michele Cossa (Riformatori) ended.

The point shared by the representatives was that of all being spokespersons for the need to make the constitutional reform effective . The summit with Ettore Prandini, president of Coldiretti, will also be held in the next few days.

“Despite the great importance of the reform , little has been said about it at national level - said Cossa during the session of the Commission -. This is why it was important to explain its implications to those who represent the real economy in Italy, especially underlining the fact that Sardinia does not claim privileges but claims the creation of the conditions to be able to compete on an equal basis with non-island regions. In the relationship with the national government, all possible support is needed. The issue is not so much resources, but rules, both at national and European level. It is paradoxical that the same Europe that allocates tens of billions for territorial cohesion effectively weakens its impact by preventing the creation of acceptable transport and territorial continuity conditions ”.

All the associations took part in the meetings, which began at the end of September, and thus testified to the importance of the work carried out by the Regional Commission during the legislature.

Strong support from Confindustria with the president Carlo Bonomi, Confagricoltura with the national president Massimiliano Giansanti; Confesercenti with the national president Patrizia De Luise; Confcooperative with the national president Maurizio Gardini; Confcommercio with the national president Carlo Sangalli; Confartigianato with the national president Marco Giannelli; CNA with the national president Dario Costantini; Copagri with the national vice president Tommaso Battista, Confapi with the national vice president Cristian Camisa.
