Sardinia is preparing to go to the polls for the regional elections, two weeks away. And, while also waiting for the European Championships, the big names arrive on the island.

Elly Schlein, secretary of the Democratic Party, sees "great enthusiasm" around Alessandra Todde . For the Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida there are "solid projects" around Truzzu . And the leader of Action Carlo Calenda launches Soru: «The best candidate» .

Today Matteo Salvini also returns to Sardinia. The leader of the League and Minister of Infrastructure will be in Alghero for two days.

In the evening he will be present at a public meeting at the former fruit and vegetable market in Largo San Francesco, tomorrow he will present the project for the completion of the state road 291 "della Nurra" in the "Lo Quarter" conference room of the Alghero Foundation.

And, still on the centre-right front, the historic UDS leader Mario Floris expresses appreciation for the invitations to contribute to the coalition's cause arrived from the gubernatorial candidate Paolo Truzzu and from the regional coordinator of Forza Italia Ugo Cappellacci. And, he adds, «it is not true that Sardinians do not love politics, they rather ask to be involved in choices and decisions, without passively suffering what the economic "elites" and multinationals decide for us. The unity of the Sardinians is fundamental to achieving the objectives that the national government would otherwise not take into consideration."

Calenda instead continues his tour to support the Coalition led by Soru. Today stops in Iglesias where he will meet the unions and a delegation of workers from Eurallumina, Portovesme srl and Sider Alloys, then at the T-Hotel in Cagliari to present his book "The Pact. Beyond the lost thirty years".
