Investigators from the Federal Criminal Police in Brussels have begun investigating Radja Nainggolan because of the large sums of money, reportedly several tens of thousands of euros, that the former Belgian international allegedly gave or lent to Nasr-Eddine Sekkaki, the younger brother of criminal Ashraf Sekkaki, who is particularly well-known in Belgium for his involvement in large-scale drug trafficking and violent robberies.

The information was confirmed by judicial sources. Nasr-Eddine Sekkaki has already been convicted several times but his involvement in the drug trafficking case in question remains to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, the former Cagliari, Roma and Inter midfielder returned to the field the day after his interrogation: at 2pm he trained regularly with his new team in the Belgian second division, Lokeren-Temse.
