The Todde administration wanted to increase the salaries of department staff . Then it changed its mind. The amendment increasing the salaries of department cabinet members by 10% was withdrawn shortly after pressure from the entire opposition in the Chamber.
The Council, however, rejected Fausto Piga's (FdI) amendment, which called for the abolition of the law on staff passed in the previous legislature. "They've saved the job market," the minority rapporteur commented in the Chamber.
Another proposed change from the Executive was unanimously approved, increasing the resources for implementing the single sector from thirty to fifty million. This represents an additional twenty million for 2026, as well as for 2027 and 2028.
