"Unacceptable, incorrect and provocative". Adolfo Urso uses his adjectives well.
Glencore's decision to stop the zinc production line in the Portovesme srl plant early a few days ago still stings.
The workers - about 1,200 - spent a Christmas of anguish.
And yet another crisis in the industrial hub of Sulcis, which at least today will find space in the headlines of the national news. The government - in addition to Urso there will also be the Minister of Labor Marina Calderone - and the Region with the governor Alessandra Todde, will meet the workers in front of the gates of the plant.
The rift with Glencore is evident: you accuse the company of not having respected the agreements.
"Unfortunately, that's how it is. At the meeting on December 5, chaired by me, we reached an agreement: the company would postpone the closure of the zinc line, started with a unilateral decision , postponing it until after an evaluation that we would have done together after the technical mission of the ministry agreed for last Friday, and in any case not before the end of the year."
