The ban on road patrolling as part of the fire-fighting campaign did not want to discriminate against the world of volunteering .

The Councilor for the Environment Gianni Lampis reiterated this today on the sidelines of a session of the Government of the territory: "In the last three years, the Council has always listened to requests from the world of volunteering, there was no intention of privatize the system of the regional machine, but only of wanting to create an additional service to protect public safety ".

How will the rule be changed in the Regional Council? "The civil protection voluntary associations and the barracellari companies have declared that they are ready to carry out the road patrol service, an additional service to the one they ordinarily perform, for these reasons the law will seal this collaboration ".

As for the criticisms of the ban coming from the opposition but also from parts of the majority: " The rule from which the ban derives was approved by the Regional Council with a large majority , we have followed up on a provision of law, aware of the role of the Executive, to be executors of the laws approved by the Council ".
