Regenerate and enhance cultural heritage, through the reopening of closed spaces (theatres, for example) and the (re)creation of festivals, events and events (including sports and conferences) of a national and international nature.

Cagliari growing is a challenge that for all five mayoral candidates also involves culture. For those who are running for leadership of Palazzo Bacaredda there is therefore not only the need to reopen the Roman Amphitheater and return it to the people of Cagliari also for the entertainment part. Nor just identifying a space, once and for all, that is capable of hosting major events: today there is the Fair, but we are looking at the future sports hall and the new Cagliari stadium; someone also hypothesizes the creation of a suitable area in via San Paolo, someone else has a different vision, that is, of a city that goes beyond the sole logic of major events.

«We need to resume a virtuous path made up of events, demonstrations, festivals that have enriched the city in the past», says Massimo Zedda (centre-left). As? «I take over closed spaces, creating places to host artists, art installations in the city. Or again, the creation of the Academy of Fine Arts in collaboration with the Academy of Sassari, a museum of the city's history, a museum of the imagination." «We will strengthen the collaboration between the public administration and the cultural world, in the name of a participatory vision», says Alessandra Zedda (centre-right). «The municipal regulation will be integrated with the provision of a five-year planning, so that Cagliari can guarantee a calendar of major events, which occupy several days with monthly themed cadences, enriched by the contribution of cultural associations and also economic businesses» .

«We want to guarantee the right to artistic expression to those who live in Cagliari and get away from the logic of big events», says Claudia Ortu (popular Cagliari). «This is why we propose to use the Trade Fair to “create the CAoS” (laughs), the Center of the Arts of Sardinia: a place for learning, production, creation and enjoyment of art», he adds.

«In terms of cultural policies it is necessary both to create a space in the city for major events and to enhance the city's cultural operators. On the first point, we believe that the San Paolo area could be the best area for a structure dedicated to large events for an audience of at least 10 thousand people", explains Emanuela Corda (Alternativa).

«Every year, between October and December, we will organize a major international event, not necessarily of a musical nature, which can act as an attraction. Even touristy in the low season months" , says Giuseppe Farris (CiviCa2024).
