Over 800 people gathered at the Cagliari Fair for the Festa dell'Unità in the presence of the national secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein and the candidate for the regional elections Alessandra Todde .

From the stage of the Fair, the dem secretary launched an appeal for center-left unity to Renato Soru and Massimo Zedda : « We make every effort not to lose anyone along the way , I say this to ours and to those fellow travelers with whom I have shared many battles in these years, and I turn to Renato Soru and Massimo Zedda: meet, talk to each other, let's talk to each other. Faced with a government like this we cannot divide ourselves ."

An appeal also relaunched by the secretary of the Sardinian Democratic Party Piero Comandini: «This is an open and wide field, the soil of unity is very fertile. There must be no divisions and I don't want to be remembered for being the bearer of defeat . We have found our candidate who is Alessandra Todde, a stubborn and determined woman. And it was chosen with conviction."

Todde relaunched on Facebook: « The coalition is united together with Elly Schlein. This is the right spirit to wrest Sardinia from the hands of the right which has destroyed it in these five years and would like to continue to do so. United we change Sardinia. United we win", he wrote.

Before going on stage, during a brief statement to reporters, Schlein attacked the regional council: «We are here at the Festa dell'Unità to relaunch the political action of this party, which is alive and lively, which has brought 50 thousand people in Piazza del Popolo on issues that are also very important for Sardinia. Starting from healthcare, because during the 5 years of disaster of the Solinas administration Sardinia slipped far behind in the quality of healthcare . We will defend the right to health of Sardinians and Sardinians."

Another hot topic is transport: «Total lack of continuity on the part of this regional council. The national government wastes 12 billion on the anachronistic and wrong project of the Bridge over the Strait of Messina, while here there are no flights and the Sardinians are denied the right to move to the continent." In short, "there are many reasons to relaunch the challenge to this regional government together with the rest of the coalition".
