Four-year agreement between Confindustria and Intesa Sanpaolo to support Sardinian companies .
The agreement – announced last January by the president of the industrialists, Emanuele Orsini , and by Carlo Messina , managing director and CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo – was signed in Sassari, at the headquarters of Confindustria Centro Nord Sardegna.
The joint national program makes available, until 2028, 200 billion euros, of which 40 for the South: 3 billion euros are allocated to the companies of the Island, in particular, to relaunch the development of the production system and seize the opportunities of Transition 5.0 and AI, thus integrating the resources already allocated by the Bank for the achievement of the objectives of the PNRR.
"The renewed agreement with Confindustria allows us to strengthen support for the island's productive fabric. Sardinia shows good dynamism in some economic indicators, such as exports, investments, and employment, and for further growth it can leverage the strengthening of its peculiar supply chains, from the maritime economy to tourism, manufacturing, and agriculture ", said the regional director of Piedmont North, Valle d'Aosta and Sardinia of Intesa Sanpaolo, Stefano Cappellari . "We have developed a program of solutions to accompany sustainable investments of companies of all sizes and increase their competitiveness, exploiting the strategic lever of the single Zes".
"The agreement presented today - adds Maurizio de Pascale , president of Confindustria Sardegna - represents a concrete sign of attention to the needs of Sardinian companies and constitutes a strategic tool to accompany them in the energy, technological and digital transition . The 3 billion euros destined for Sardinia are an important resource to support the competitiveness of our production system and strengthen the key supply chains of the island, starting from the most innovative ones that record interesting growth margins - concluded de Pascale - but it is above all the unique Zes that offers a formidable lever to attract investments and enhance our territorial production assets".
