The demonstrations of CGIL-Uil "Together for justice" that accompany the general strike proclaimed by the two unions to protest against the maneuver are starting today.

For the two confederations, the budget law "does not redistribute wealth, does not reduce inequalities and does not generate balanced and structural development and stable employment". Basically it does not give "sufficient answers": "We want concrete changes for female workers, pensioners and pensioners and to strengthen social and territorial cohesion", reads the leaflet prepared by CGIL and UIL for the strike.

There are eight hours of abstention, which concern public and private workers and services, starting with transport. Schools (which already went on strike last Friday) and health care, exonerated from the outset to safeguard the priority right to health in this phase of pandemic emergency, have been excluded from the protest.

Five events: in Cagliari , Rome (with the general secretaries Maurizio Landini and Pierpaolo Bombardieri), Milan, Bari and Palermo. Five cities to demonstrate on the major open issues - taxation, pensions, industrial policies, the fight against relocation and precariousness, health care, non self-sufficiency and schools - and insist on the need for dialogue with the government.

That Prime Minister Mario Draghi assures: “On the part of the government there has been no punitive will towards the trade unions. There is a willingness to talk, discuss and listen ”, says the Prime Minister. The table on pensions was called on Monday at Palazzo Chigi.

In Cagliari the demonstration is scheduled in Piazza dei Centomila: first on the stage the interventions of the regional secretaries and not only, then the connection on the big screen with Rome for the conclusions with the national secretaries. The CISL will not go down alongside them in the square, nor will the parties, with the exception of the Italian Left, the only one to openly support the choice.
