A final with strong hearts and a thousand regrets: Cagliari takes the lead twice and is recovered by Salernitana for a 2-2 which forces the rossoblù to postpone the appointment with the victory and remain last in the standings.

Ranieri surprises everyone, focusing on Nandez as the fourth defender on the right, with Deiola in midfield and the revived Mancosu behind the strange pair Luvumbo-Oristanio, for a 4-3-1-2 that has always been Cagliari's tactical habit.

Salernitana starts off strong, but without ever being dangerous near Scuffet. Luvumbo, on the other hand, is dangerous, first (17') challenging Costil from close range and then scoring (27'), assisted by Mancosu, but starting offside.

Inzaghi's team shows up with Dia (35'), with a touch on the outside of the net, while Prati (37') tries from outside, but Costil again saves himself in the corner. We go to half-time at 0-0.

We start again with Zappa and Viola for Nandez and Mancosu, who have run out of little petrol available. The level of the match reflects the ranking positions of the two teams. Deiola (9') tries from outside, but Costil blocks without problems. Jankto also comes on for Oristanio (19') and Obert for Dossena (29'), affected by cramps. The best, however, is yet to come. In the 34th minute, Viola recovers a ball in the midfield, serves Jankto who continues Luvumbo and Zito does not forgive. In the 41st minute, when the match seemed to be in full control, Salernitana equalized with a flash from Dia . There was no time to despair and Shomurodov, who replaced Luvumbo, gave Viola the assist to make it 2-1 (43'). The crazy final gives, in the 47th minute, a penalty taken by the VAR for a touch from Viola's hand. Long checks and, in the 49th minute, Dia makes no mistake from the spot. Endless match, Jankto's header saved in the 53rd minute. The final whistle in the 101st minute certifies a 2-2 that can't satisfy anyone.
