Cagliari resumed training today, after Fabio Pisacane gave the team a day off following Sunday's 0-0 draw in Bologna . The Rossoblu will return to action on Saturday at 3:00 PM against Udinese, in the third-to-last matchday of Serie A. A positive result would mathematically secure survival with 180 minutes to go in the season. But first, they still have a long list of injuries to contend with.
Alessandro Deiola (strained right thigh rectus femoris) and Juan Rodríguez (strained left thigh rectus femoris) are at risk of missing the Cagliari-Udinese match, having both completed individual training sessions today. Joseph Liteta, however, will certainly be absent, having rested today's session: the tests he underwent after missing out on the Bologna match revealed a low-grade tear to his right thigh flexors.
Othniël Raterink trained regularly with the group, while Luca Mazzitelli continued his personalized training, aiming to recover for Saturday after being sidelined almost a month ago against Cremonese . This afternoon, the team completed the first part of the session, dedicated to technical drills, followed by possession and aerobic work. Tomorrow, Cagliari will be back on the pitch in the morning.
