Not one, but two matches for Cagliari, in their final friendly before their competitive debut. On Saturday, August 9th, Fabio Pisacane's Rossoblù will travel to Santander (Spain) to face Racing at El Sardinero, with a twist: they'll play one match at 10:30 a.m. and another at 7:00 p.m., both against the same opponent. This time, more players will be involved than in traditional preseason fixtures, with playing time being managed.

Real Racing Club de Santander is a team in LaLiga2, Spain's second division. Last season, they finished fifth with 71 points, losing the promotion playoff semifinal to Mirandés (a team that was defeated in the final by Oviedo, led by former Cagliari player Santiago Colombatto) . The Spanish club will begin their competitive matches on August 16, hosting Castellón at the Sardinero stadium.

Cagliari's season kicks off today at 7:00 PM, with a training camp at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini . On Sunday, they'll travel to Ponte di Legno for a training camp scheduled to run until July 22nd. Other friendlies before the trip to Santander include Saturday the 19th at 5:00 PM in Temù against Ospitaletto Franciacorta (Serie C), then Wednesday the 23rd in Linz against Galatasaray (Turkish champions), Saturday the 26th at 2:00 PM away to Hannover (Germany's 2nd Bundesliga) and Saturday, August 2nd at 8:30 PM, the first edition of the Gigi Riva Trophy at Unipol Domus against French side Saint-Étienne.
