Cagliari's new signing, Giuseppe Aurelio, landed at 10:45 this morning, completing the trio of signings following Daniel Maldini (already official) and Kevin Carlos (who joined the club on Saturday night, like his defensive partner). The full-back arrives from Spezia, following negotiations with former Rossoblu sporting director Guido Angelozzi, who reached an agreement with the Ligurian club just over a month ago.
"I'm very happy and excited about this new experience: I can't wait to get started," Aurelio said at Elmas Airport, having just arrived on a flight from Fiumicino. "I've already had the chance to talk to some of my new teammates, including Romano, who I played with last year, and now I'm off to meet them."
Aurelio has made a permanent transfer, having already undergone a medical in Rome on Saturday. The 2000-born left-back is also expected to be officially announced in the next few hours. He will be the replacement for Adam Obert and will give Riyad Idrissi more time to recover from his serious knee injury in March. Goalkeeper Giuseppe Ciocci is heading in the opposite direction, to La Spezia.
