Four days of retreat are enough for Cagliari. The “lockdown” at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini ended with a 1-1 draw against Genoa, despite the result not being all that satisfying (so much so that at the end of the match a good part of the crowd at the Domus booed). But the recovery for the rossoblù is immediate: «Tomorrow morning we will already train, because it is important for those who have not played. Then we will take a day and a half break and start again», Davide Nicola said in a press conference. The next match, the last before the break, is Sunday 16 at the Olimpico against Claudio Ranieri's Roma (kick-off postponed to 4 pm).

The coach explains why Cagliari made this choice. "We don't want to leave any stone unturned: in the four games played on Friday we won one, drew one and lost two. In the short weeks we mustn't leave anything to chance, it's important to focus on recovery." And on the goal conceded at the start of the second half, like last Sunday in Bologna, Nicola postpones the evaluation: " I'll analyze it, I'll evaluate with the team whether it's a coincidence or something that has happened to us several times ."

On the whistles at the end of the match, Nicola has his own idea: «I don't interpret them as something negative. The balance is in the fact that you have to always try to win, where you can't you have to get points to save ourselves. The whistles are those of a very passionate fan base, but there are also the opponents and everything helps ».
