A Cagliari native has been appointed as the referee for Cagliari-Frosinone, the round of 32 match of the Coppa Italia that will open tomorrow at 5:00 PM at the Unipol Domus . Referee Giuseppe Collu, from the AIA section of the island's capital, will be the fourth official: he's fresh from Bologna-Genoa on Saturday, where he awarded a penalty to the Frosinone side in injury time for a handball by Valentín Carboni, via VAR.

The central referee will be Ermanno Feliciani from the Teramo section. The Rossoblu have a terrible record under him: three matches and as many defeats . After a 2-0 win in their debut on September 17, 2023, away to Atalanta, they were eliminated from the Coppa Italia last season, a 4-0 defeat in Turin against Juventus in the round of 16 on December 17, 2024, and the most recent 2-1 home defeat against Udinese on May 3, in the penultimate matchday of last season. He will have Francesca Di Monte (Chieti section) and Glauco Zanellati (Seregno) as assistants, with Giacomo Camplone (Lanciano) acting as VAR, with Francesco Meraviglia (Pistoia) as assistant.
