Cagliari-Arezzo will be the Rossoblù's official debut of the new season. The match, valid for the round of 32 of the Coppa Italia, will be played next Friday at 6:30 PM at the Unipol Domus . A one-off match, if the match is tied after 90 minutes, the match will go straight to penalties, with the winner facing either Verona or Virtus Entella in the round of 32.
Arezzo, newly promoted to Serie B, won 2-0 this evening in the preliminary round against Union Brescia (the team founded a year ago, after former Cagliari president Massimo Cellino's club failed to register, and which plays in Serie C). Arena scored in the 24th minute, with an assist from former Rossoblu player Cerri, and Tavernelli scored in the 86th minute.
Along with Cerri, Arezzo will have three others with a past at Cagliari: coach Cristian Bucchi, midfielder Artur Ioniță, and striker Alessandro Capello. Tickets will likely go on sale tomorrow .
