The presentations for Cagliari's 2026-2027 squad will begin on Monday. At 11:30 a.m., the event will feature Pietro Accardi and Max Canzi, the Rossoblu's new sporting director and youth academy director, respectively. President Tommaso Giulini will also be present, along with the directors announced in recent weeks .

Accardi, born in 1982, signed a contract last Monday until June 30, 2029. Originally from Palermo, he made just over a hundred Serie A appearances during his career as a defender, playing for the Rosanero, Sampdoria, and Brescia. He ended his playing career at Empoli in 2014, becoming team manager and, from 2016, sporting director for the following eight years. From June 2024 to April 2025, he served as technical director of Sampdoria.

For Canzi, this is a major return: he coached Cagliari's Primavera team from 2015 to 2020 , the year he finished the season (after the pandemic-related hiatus) in the first team as Walter Zenga's assistant. He then spent two years at Olbia in Serie C, culminating in the club's qualification for the play-offs, and in the last two years he was at Juventus Women, where he won the Scudetto and Coppa Italia in his first season, followed by the Serie A Women's Cup and Supercoppa in the season just ended.
