"Making a negative comparison by citing a specific State is an institutionally serious gesture, which forces us to apologize to the Prime Minister of Sudan and his people." This is what the center-right group leaders wrote in a letter sent to Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani following the statements of Health Councilor Armando Bartolazzi who, on the first day of the discussion in the Regional Council on the bill that aims to appoint commissioners of the Local Health Authorities, had compared the Sardinian regional health system to that of the African State ("things that not even in Sudan") . They asked Antonio Tajani to send a letter directed to the institutional representatives of the Republic of Sudan .

In this letter, the group leaders, in addition to expressing their apologies for the words of Councilor Bartolazzi, hope to "be able to start an ever closer cooperation and collaboration". "Furthermore - they added - these words have created a strong sense of abandonment and mistrust in the entire medical class and in all those who, in various capacities, are committed to guaranteeing health services to all citizens"
