Jannik Sinner's run at the Australian Open continued without a hitch. After Gaston's retirement in the first round, the ATP number 2 defeated Duckworth in three sets (6-1, 6-4, 6-2).

A match that saw the Italian tennis player always in control, showing off the many weapons at his disposal, from which the host Duckworth was never able to defend himself.

In the next round, Sinner will have to face Eliot Spizzirri , the American tennis player ranked number 85, who provided one of the first surprises of the tournament by beating the Brazilian Joao Fonseca in four sets.
