Renewal of mobility in derogation for workers in the areas of complex industrial crisis of Porto Torres and Sulcis and adjustment of the reduced amounts of 40%, below the poverty line.

The commissioner of Labor, Alessandra Zedda, requested it in the last note sent to the Minister of Labor Andrea Orlando.

In fact, the latest budget law provides for an increase in the endowment of the Social Fund for employment and training and the allocation of additional resources - 60 million euros - for the renewal of treatment concessions has been arranged. and the mobility allowance in derogation in favor of companies and workers who persist in areas of complex industrial crisis duly and formally recognized.

Among the territories involved, there are also the two complex industrial crisis areas of Sardinia, those of Porto Torres and Sulcis-Iglesiente, which involve about 700 workers.

Noting the urgency of activating the necessary procedures for the allocation of the resources in question also for this year, the representative of the Giunta Solinas denounced how, to date, "a rule of justice that goes hand in hand with the measures of active policy activated by the Region: out of the total of 700 interested parties, at least 430 are recipients of a reduction which entails a significant reduction up to 40% of the indemnity paid ".

"Right from the start we focused on the issue of the important reduction of the mobility allowance in derogation. At the same time we started important active policy measures, in particular training, in favor of over 400 workers (all interested in renewing the concession of the 'mobility allowance in derogation) of Sulcis-Iglesiente, all coming from the Alcoa workers' pool, who can be relocated following the "revamping" process being started by the successor Sider Alloys , functional to the resumption of production of the 'primary aluminum. In order for the system to return to being virtuous or at least not to cause damage to workers, it is necessary to intervene urgently both on the front of the renewal for the year 2022 and with the disbursement of the compensation of the mobility allowance in derogation for the 2021 as foreseen by a specific circular which for the Region of Sardinia has nevertheless remained inapplicable ", concluded Zedda.
