Cagliari and Frosinone have been two of the many milestones in the career of Guido Angelozzi, now technical director of Spezia, leaders of Group B of Serie C. One, the rossoblù, lasted just one year last season, while the other, the giallazzurra, was much more consistent, with a five-year stint from 2020 to 2025. These two teams he knows very well will face off on Saturday at 3 pm at the Domus : "A prediction? It will be an open match," he said during "Il Cagliari in Diretta" on Radiolina and Videolina. "Frosinone always play to win; they have a style of play where they press inside the box. They're a team that scores a lot of goals, but they also give up a lot of chances. You have to be careful. I think Pisacane has already studied them because he's attentive to everything. May the best team win."

Angelozzi's tenure at Cagliari ended last June, after just twelve months, but the Sicilian manager isn't expressing any controversy. "I was disappointed, because we had started a great journey but then it wasn't possible to continue," he explains. "Marriages are made by two people. I left with a bitter taste in my mouth, but I accept this situation peacefully. It was right to leave; the president wanted a change, and we parted as friends ." Immediately afterward, Spezia called again: "It's the third time, even though it's Serie C, I owed a debt to the city and the club. I came with peace of mind and am happy to be here."

His successor at the Rossoblu was Pietro Accardi. He completed a signing that Angelozzi himself would have wanted: "Romano, he and President Giulini did a great job in bringing him in," he revealed. " We considered him last year, but Massara, as director at Roma, didn't want to give him away completely . He was quite strict, but this year Cagliari made a great move: he has great potential. I'm happy he's arrived in Cagliari because last year we were very close to both him and Pisilli, in January."

Regarding Frosinone, Cagliari's next opponent, Angelozzi explains: "It's their third time in Serie A, I hope they stay up this time. The first time I wasn't there and they were relegated, the second time we were relegated to Serie B at the last second of the last game and with 35 points. Now they're doing great; in my opinion, they're a spectacular team . They have a great spirit and strong players, especially on the wings."
