"The bipartisan motion presented in recent days by the group of Sardinian parliamentarians regarding the Air Italy dispute is not enough. This is not what is needed and this is not what workers, their families and trade unions expect".

This was stated by the secretary general Filt Cgil Sardegna Arnaldo Boeddu, commenting on the initiative of the island senators Cucca, Doria, De Vecchis, Floris, Lunesu, Evangelista, Fenu and Marilotti.

The text, Cucca explained, provided for a commitment by the executive to "intervene in favor of the workers of Air Italy in liquidation through the extension of the cig and to implement any more useful initiative aimed at facilitating their relocation to the labor market". And he added: "The competent ministers must intervene on this dispute and the Prime Minister Mario Draghi himself or the dismissal of 1,322 employees will be inevitable. What needs to be done no later than this January is a rule of law. ad hoc law that guarantees layoffs to all Air Italy workers. Only in this way will they protect and preserve all professionalism ", concluded the trade unionist.
