Zappa's message to Felici: "Sometimes football is unfair. Get well soon, my friend."

The results of the checks at Villa Stuart are still awaited, but Gabriele Zappa's social media post provides no comforting information about Mattia Felici's condition.

The Cagliari winger was injured in a final tackle in the Coppa Italia match against Napoli. He had just come on, in the 85th minute. Despite everything, he gritted his teeth and stepped up to take the penalty, hitting the crossbar.

The next day, his knee condition worsened, and there were fears of a cruciate ligament rupture, which would mean the season was over for the 2001-born footballer.

"Sometimes football is unfair! Get well soon, my friend," Zappa wrote in an Instagram story, posting two photos with his teammate, one on the training pitch and the other at sea.
