The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (DUMAS) of the University of Sassari has welcomed in recent days twelve students of Catalan Philology, coming from the "Rovira i Virgili" University of Tarragona.

Accompanied by Professor Pere Navarro, the young guests were received by the teacher Arantxa Llàce as well as by the students of the department, who then ventured into the role of tourist guides in the Catalan language.

The meeting was an opportunity to take a tour of the city to discover the medieval walls, the Rosello fountain, the Duomo and other monuments and city beauties, in a day of cultural exchange that helped to strengthen relations between the two universities.

The Catalan girls and boys also met the director of the department, Donatella Carboni, and brought as a gift some volumes of Catalan language and culture, immediately made available to the students of DUMAS.

The initiative, which took place over a week within the DRAC mobility program of Xarxa Vives d'Universitats, was made possible by the coordination between Dumas, Xarxa Vives d'Universitats herself, the Institut Ramon Llull and the students of the two universities.
