Yet another prestigious medal for Stefano Oppo .
The 28-year-old rower from Oristano, together with Pietro Ruta, won the world silver medal in double lightweights for the fourth time in a row, closing the 2 thousand meters distance on the rowing basin of Racice (Czech Republic) in 6.19.11.
The blue couple with the most medal in activity had to surrender to the Irish crew who won the gold medal and in the sprint beat the Ukrainians, who won the bronze.
After the Tokyo 2020 Olympic bronze , Oppo, already world champion with eight lightweights in 2013, has won three silver medals with Ruta in the last three world editions (2017-2018-2019). The two Azzurri have collected 11 medals in the last six years.
