Wrestle: Ukraine ahead of Italy and Spain in the 18th International Beach Wrestling Tournament “Sardinia”
The international event took place on the beach of l'Ancora in Stintino
The sea of Stintino with the turret in the background, the fine white sand like tatami, the curiosity of bathers and tourists. On Sunday the beach of l'Ancora hosted the 18th "Sardinia" International Beach Wrestling Tournament, organized by the Polisportiva Athlon of Sassari.
The competition saw the success of Ukraine, already winner of the international wrestling tournament "Città di Sassari", ahead of Italy, Spain and Romania. Gold went to the Ukrainian Andrii Yatsenko in the senior men's 70 kg category, beating his compatriot Yaroslav Hurskyy. In the 80 kg protagonist Gabriele D'Oro, of the Athlon, who beat Andrea Pazzona in the final, while third place for the Spanish Saúl Bello.
In the 90 kg category, another Ukrainian winner, Denis Pavlov, who defeated the Roman William Raffi. Ukraine's golden trio was completed by Yurii Idzinskyi, who easily overtook Athlon sports club's Alessio Vandi.
In the only women's category of the day, victory went to Lydia Perez for the 70 kg.
