US-Iran talks in Pakistan: "Vance and Ghalibaf have confirmed their presence."
Washington and Tehran negotiating teams are eagerly awaiting a new round of talks to reach a lasting ceasefire.Pakistan -led mediators have received confirmation that the lead negotiators, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf , will arrive in Islamabad in the early hours of Wednesday to lead their respective teams in talks aimed at reaching a lasting ceasefire agreement to end the Middle East crisis. The AP reported the news on its website, citing two officials. It should be noted, however, that neither the United States nor Iran have publicly confirmed the date of the talks, while Iranian state television has denied the presence of any officials in the Pakistani capital. According to Axios, the Iranian team in charge of the talks in Islamabad has received the green light from Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
“Iran has no choice but to make a deal,” Donald Trump said in an interview with CBNC News.
