New alarm in US airspace, after the one caused by the overflight of a Chinese spy balloon.

An unidentified object (in UFO jargon, Unidentified Flying Object), the size of a car and without people on board, was in fact shot down by Pentagon F-22 fighter jets at high altitude off the coast of Alaska, near the border with Canada.

President Joe Biden gave the green light because the object, flying at an altitude of 40,000 feet (about 12,000 meters), "posed a reasonable threat to civilian air traffic", as explained by the spokesman for the National Security Council John Kirby.

"The operation was a success," commented the commander in chief.

Now we are investigating to discover the origins of the UFO: the Pentagon, spokesman Pat Ryder said in a briefing, does not know where it came from, who it belongs to, how fast it travelled, whether it was manoeuvrable and whether it had surveillance capabilities.

Decisive will be the analysis of the remains of the object, which will be recovered in the icy waters of the ocean, in American territory.
