Turkish Interior Minister Mustafa Ciftci announced that a total of nine people, eight students and a teacher, were killed in the shooting at a middle school in southeastern Turkey, where a 14-year-old student from the same school opened fire, wounding 13 people , before dying by suicide or shooting himself in the heat of the moment.
Six of the injured are seriously injured, the minister added.
According to NTV, the father of the student killer has been arrested and it is suspected that the boy took the weapons used in the massacre from those of his father, who is a police officer.
